Thank you for registering with St Wulfstan Surgery…

We have put together some important tips to help you get the most out of the surgery. We strive to offer you the best, most efficient and most compassionate GP service. In order to continue doing this we have compiled some top tips. By following these tips you can help us to help you, and in turn help us continue offering an outstanding service.

Top Tips:

  1. Download the NHS App: Download this app on your smartphone or tablet to quickly and easily book appointments, order repeat medication, check your symptoms, review your COVID vaccination record, view your medical records and more.

  2. Register for our weekly Newsletter: Stay up to date with news from the surgery and regular health updates by registering for our weekly newsletter. You can subscribe at the bottom of this page.

  3. Please don’t stand us up: If you cant make your appointment, please cancel it as soon as possible, either by calling reception or using the NHS App. Failing to attend your appointment deprives others of that appointment, and makes it harder for us to sustain our excellent access to appointments.

  4. Please turn up on time: We feel it is important not to keep you waiting, so we strive to work to time. Please help us by turning up to your appointment on time. Even if you are a few minutes late, this has an impact on everyone else due to be seen thereafter.

  5. Get Involved: Please consider joining our Patient Participation Group (PPG). We are keen and eager to keep improving and we need your help. This is a great opportunity for you to help us develop our service. If you would like to participate please e-mail our Practice Manager, Lindsay Ward.

  6. Choose the right appointment: Consider using the NHS.UK website as a first port of call when you develop new symptoms for advice. For other simple queries please speak to our reception team who can message our Doctors for advice or use our Online Service. If you need an appointment with a GP, then consider booking a telephone appointment for problems that don’t require a physical examination. If you do need a physical examination (e.g. new joint problems, tummy pain, lumps & bumps) then please book a face-to-face appointment.

  7. Stick to the same GP: It is always best to try and see the same GP where possible. This allows for better continuity of your care. If you have seen a GP who has requested investigations for you, then to ensure the best service, see that same GP if those results need to be reviewed.

Once again, welcome to St Wulfstan Surgery!
