Breast Screening Error
Some of you may have seen in the news that around 450,000 women in England failed to get invitations for breast screening because of a national computer error.
The NHS Choices website states: 'Most women can be reassured that they will have received their final invitation but there are some women, now aged 70 to 79, who have missed an invitation due to a problem that dates back to 2009'
Unfortunately, GP surgeries are unable to tell which of our patients are affected.
What to do if you think you are affected
- Call the breast screening helpline number 0800 169 2692
- Go the NHS Choices website for more information
